Concept of cultural humility is distinguished from that of cultural competence. Cultural humility incorporates a lifelong commitment to self-evaluation and critique, to redressing the power imbalances (…), and to developing mutually beneficial (…) relationship with communities on behalf of individuals and defined populations (Melanie Tervalon).

    • Jeroen van Egmond, MA, University Lecturer, The Netherlands
    • Martijn Beenakker MD. PhD, Medical Specialist Neurologist, The Netherlands
  • Dialogue with professionals, Health and Business students from four universities from different parts of the world.
  • Sharing various perspectives, discussing a practical medical case and learning to become culturally aware within healthcare.

Practical Information

The Knowledge Café learn and share was held online via Zoom. Registration for the event is free of charge. Students must be from the following universities.
